Homeschool Curriculum
Ok, as promised, here is our list of curriculum for this year. I have some favorites that I stick with year after year and then I always add something new each year. This makes things a little more interesting :-).
Hannah (8th grade)
Bible -- Two days a week, we will do Bible together continuing in "The Key to Bible Understanding" and two days a week, the girls will do their own Bible study. Hannah is using "Wise Up" which is a study of the first 9 chapters of Proverbs.
Math -- Saxon 87
Langauage Arts -- Learning Language Arts through Literature green; Easy Grammar
Science -- Apologia Physical Science
History -- Mystery of History Vol. I
Kristen (6th grade)
Bible -- our study together 2x's a week and for her personal study, Kristen is doing a study on Truthfulness from the Notgrass company
Math -- Saxon 76
Language Arts -- Learning Language Arts through Literature tan; Easy Grammar; Building Spelling Skills
Science -- Apologia's Exploring Creation through Astronomy
History -- Mystery of History Vol. I
Art -- Kristen is doing a drawing book also by the Notgrass company
Will (2nd grade)
Bible -- our study together 2x's a week and then Studying God's Word Book B from Christian Liberty Press
Math -- Rod and Staff Math 3
Language Arts -- Learning Language Arts through Literature red; Abeka readers
Science -- Apologia's Exploring Creation through Astronomy
History -- Mystery of History Vol. I
We will be involved in a co-op this year that I am coordinating. We will be doing our science together, a writing class, and Beautiful Feet Geography. We are looking forward to and praying for a good school year with lots of diligence and consistency.
