Cooking and other stuff

Billy and I had a great trip to Nashville over the weekend. We just relaxed, went to Starbucks, went to movies, out to eat, and then on Sunday night, we went to Winter Jam -- a contemporary Christian concert. We had a great time just being together!

This week is a lot less busy than last week. It seems to fall that way :-). I am trying to cook with the girls more. So, I have decided that they will each have at least one cooking job each week. Today Kristen made some healthy chocolate chip cookies. We are trying to eat more healthy and learning about whole grains, more natural sugars, etc. Of course, we are trying to make very slow changes. One change that we have made for a while now is whole wheat noodles and brown rice. These changes have been pretty easy and taste good too :-).

Here is the recipe for the cookies we made http://www.thefamilyhomestead.com/chocolatechipcookies.htm They are "kid" approved :-).

I have been learning a lot from this website and using a lot of her recipes. There is always so much to learn!

I know this is random, but... have you read "White Chocoalte Moments"? It's a Christian book, and I really enjoyed it. But I'm forgetting the author's name right now, my memory fails me a lot. I just know her first name is Lori... I believe :)

And thank you for the link!!
