This Week...

This is going to be my attempt at blogging more frequently -- noting the highlights of our week each weekend. I really want to do this to remember this season of our life since I don't scrapbook, journal, etc. I am fortunate that Hannah keeps up with her blog pretty well, so I guess we could always refer to her blog if we need to remember what happened in our life :-).

We are back in school full swing now although we did take off on Monday for Labor Day. Will got to throw out the first pitch at the Lookouts game on Monday. He won a promotion by Great Clips. He was so excited when we got the call, but the day of the game, he was so nervous that I'm not sure he really enjoyed it. I know that he will look back on it with great memories though. It was REALLY hot, so we didn't stay for the whole game. We went back to mom and dad's house and cooled off and had supper with the whole fam. The kids had a great time with the cousins. They jumped on the trampoline with the sprinkler on and fun was had by all -- until Hannah sprained her ankle.

The rest of the week was busy! We went to Dalton on Wednesday. We had lunch with Pat, Kristen had horseback riding lessons, and then we went to the library to finish school. Having lunch before Kristen's riding lesson is something that we started doing before Papa Hoyt passed away. I am so glad that we have continued to go have lunch with Billy's step-mom since his dad passed away. She is still a part of our family and we enjoy the time we spend with her. We then met Billy for supper and then went to church. I enjoy our days in Dalton. They are a long day, but I always enjoy spending the day with the kids.

On Fridays, we have our homescool co-op. I feel so blessed to have such a great group of families that we meet with. It is such a nice way to end our week with our friends.

After co-op, we went to collect pond water for Biology class. After trying a couple of different locations, we found one that looked just right.

Here is Seth gathering the water --

Caleb was wondering if the picture was really necessary :-)

Will and Clay tagged along with us and enjoyed throwing rocks in the water!
