Grocery Store Day

Obviously, the picture isn't from the grocery store :-). This is a picture from inside the Lost Sea. We went with mom and dad one day in July when Billy was off work. It was really neat.

Well, today was grocery store day -- yuck :-)! But, I am always glad to have it over with for 2 more weeks. I have started shopping at Aldi first and then going to Walmart. This is really saving us a lot of money. Plus, I love the produce and produce prices at Aldi so we buy a lot more fruit than we used to! Hannah went with me today to buy groceries. I always enjoy the time we spend together!

I used to have some menus made and corresponding grocery lists. This really saved me a lot of time, but I got tired of the menus that I had. So, I quit using them. But recently, I have made up some new menus. I put about 8-10 meals on each menu and then I can add 1 or 2 new recipes if I want to try something new. I have also switched out a few things that I didn't want to make for the summer.

Here is what I have planned for the next two weeks (I don't plan what day we will have what -- that way, I can see what I have time for that day):
1)Spinach Manicotti; salad; bread
2)Taco Mac Salad
3)Ham in crockpot; potatoes; vegetable (lots of fresh veggies right now)
4)Beef Stroganoff; carrots
5)Greek spaghetti; salad; garlic bread
6)Meatballs; potatoes; green beans
7)Homemade Pizza
8)Cabbage Bake; Macaroni and Cheese
9)Meatball Subs; Broccoli Salad
10)Ratatouille (new recipe -- Will recently went to see this movie and I thought it would be fun to make the actual recipe)
